WHY THIS TEAM
People have asked me why I want to run as part of a team with Deputy Mayor Tanya Snell and Councillors Joe Belanger, Faye Ego, Ellen Timms, and Richard White.
The answer is actually quite simple.
Over the past four years, we have worked together through difficult decisions, challenging discussions, and remarkable opportunities for Wasaga Beach. We have not agreed on every issue, nor should we. A strong council benefits from different perspectives and thoughtful debate. What has always mattered most is that we treat one another with respect, listen openly, and keep the best interests of our community at the heart of every decision.
I’ve come to know each of these individuals not only as colleagues but as people who genuinely care about Wasaga Beach. They each bring different experiences, different strengths, and different perspectives. Together, those differences make us stronger.
No mayor accomplishes anything alone. Success comes from building relationships, earning trust, and working as one team. I believe this group has demonstrated that we can move projects forward, tackle challenges head-on, and continue making meaningful progress for our community.
As we look to the future, there is still important work ahead. We have built strong momentum, gained valuable experience, and developed a clear understanding of the issues and opportunities facing Wasaga Beach. Rather than starting over, I believe we should continue moving forward and build on the solid foundation we have established together.
This election isn’t about individuals. It’s about serving our residents with integrity, respect, and a commitment to making thoughtful decisions for today and for future generations.
I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I’m excited about what we can accomplish in the years ahead. That is why I ask you all to support Team Wasaga, and let’s keep it going.
